On the 13th morning, November 2024, we at Samaritan Hope Home had the privilege of welcoming from South Korea, Kkottongnae religious community.
They were:-
Br James Shin
Fr Philip Park
Sister Matthew choi
Sister Simon Kim
They were on visit to Kuala Lumpur diocese to share their charitable work among the underprivileged, and marginalised community in South Korea.
Mdm Rose Ng and Anna Ong from the parish of the Holy Family Church in Kajang also accompanied them.
After our daily rosary, all the us, including volunteers and shelter brothers, gathered together to listen to Br James’ talk. He captivated our attention while he explained about his work with the homeless in Korea and different parts of the world, including the Vatican. He also projected a short video about their work on TV screen, which was amazing.
We invited them to have lunch together with our shelter brothers.
After lunch, they prayed over on those who needed prayers.
Brother James Shin also presented to us a donation from the Kkottongnae community to Samaritan Hope Home.
Praise the Lord for the wonderful work to build God’s Kingdom of Love among the poorest.
